Indeed, the circle above not only refers to our physical sun but also our solar year (1,461 days). If the circumference of the circle is equal to the perimeter of the square then we can make each side length equal to 365.25 days. By nesting the square four times using √2, the lunar cycle also becomes apparent: 91.31 days. This then, is the temporal pattern behind the Royal Calendar. Here we are reminded of a quote from Albert Einstein:
